Michael Phelps unhurt in car accident

Michael Phelps
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps was involved in a car accident in Baltimore, MD on Thursday but was not hurt. Neither were his two passengers and the female driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Authorities report that alcohol was NOT a factor in the accident and that a field sobriety test on Phelps was not conducted as it was unnecessary.
Phelps refused medical treatment and left in a personal vehicle.
When is this man going to learn to stay off dry land?
Michael Vick signs with Philadelphia Eagles

Michael Vick
Michael Vick is back y’all.
The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback reached a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday night.
Vick, convicted two years ago of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison of which he served 19. He was also suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally lifted Vick’s suspension on July 27, allowing him to sign with a team though few teams seemed interested.
I guess everyone deserves a second chance, but my question is will this affect Donovan McNabb’s minutes? McNabb has been very diplomatic wishing Vick the best of luck saying that he “hopes everything works out for him.”

Rick Pitino admits to consensual affair

Rick Pitino
Unbelievable. Well, I guess nothing is “unbelievable” anymore.
If you haven’t heard, Louisville’s head men’s basketball coach is caught in the middle of an extortion scandal that might lead to his termination.
In 2003, Pitino was approached by a woman named Karen Sypher in a restaurant. Shortly after meeting, they had consensual sex, Pitino says. Two weeks later, Pitino gave Sypher $3,000 when she said that she was going to have an abortion and didn’t have health insurance. Pitino claims that the money was not explicitly given to fund the abortion, but for Sypher to obtain medical coverage.
James Ramsey, University of Louisville’s President is shocked by Pitino’s admissions as his contract includes dishonesty and moral depravity as grounds for firing.
